HDD or is SSD better?
An HDD (“Hard Disk Drive”) is a storage medium in the PC. This consists of mechanical and magnetic parts. (Individual disks and a read/write head. (See pictures 1 to 5)
It is precisely these mechanical parts that are often the reason why your hard drive “suddenly and unexpectedly” often refuses to work without any warning (e.g. rattling or squeaking noises). Once it has come to this point and, in the worst case scenario, the PC/laptop no longer starts, good advice is, in the proverbial sense, often expensive.
If you have not backed up your data to an external medium, there is a risk of losing all of your data.
If this has come to this, we will be happy to help you save your data.
In cases where we no longer have access to your data, there is still the option of having your data restored in data recovery laboratories.
Newer version of a hard drive is an SSD.
What does SSD mean?
The abbreviation SSD stands for “Solid State Drive”. The most understandable translation is “solid-state memory”. These are small flash memories, most familiar from a RAM bar. (Image of an SSD)
